A Belgian Dubbel recipe brewed with four (4) different yeasts with a score of “best” recipe to yeast combo to “fourth” being the least favorite combo for this style. All brewers brewed with distilled or RO water adding brewing salts and acid malts to maintain the same water profile and PH value in the mash. Alpha acids were adjusted to match IBUs per hop, lot, and crop year, by each brewer to eliminate as many variables as possible.

Gary | Big plums and raisins all the dark fruits, plus a hint of toffy. Fairly clear with a brown to ruby red appearance, clean aroma otherwise, flavor follows the aroma with even more intensity | Best yeast for this style |

Gary | Although I liked all the entries a lot i graded mine last but my best estimate it was tide with Oyl024, i dinged mine for lack of head. Slight ruby red but slightly to the brown side, fairly clear but not crystal clear. Slight Aroma of raisins and toffy and a Belgian type flavor, flavor follows with a bit more intensity than the aroma. | Fourth Best yeast for this style |
